This week, Click2Map released a set of new features on its map editor. To refresh some memories, Click2Map enables professionals to easily edit, distribute and manage online maps. The new features include the ability for visitors to show/hide groups of markers, driving directions on a separate tab in the same map, and batch operations on groups of markers.

The first feature, show/hide groups of markers, is dead simple to explain with an example. Below, I have created a list of places to go out in San Francisco, CA. Depending on the type of places you are looking for, check/uncheck boxes based on your needs.

Once you have chosen which places you want to go out to, don't leave the page. get the driving directions by clicking on the 'directions' tab.
Finally, let's say you are the editor of this map, and there is something bugging you about the 'serving food' icon, the web link's text, or maybe the group name. Thanks to the batch operations on multiple marker tool, you can change any data on any group of markers:This new productivity tool lets you perform operations on multiple markers with unique ease. Bulk operations allow you to update the content of several markers in a single operation! You can thus change or delete their description, the links they contain, the keywords they hold and even their icon! It’s also possible to add tabs to each marker (text, photo or Html) or to remove existing ones. You can also move or duplicate markers across existing groups and maps and geocode them from their street address. The Platinum version also makes it possible to apply a template to several markers at the same time.
Click2Map is not done yet. The team is actively working on the design of a new widget that will make map distribution and sharing a breeze. If you consider easy map creation, and you blend it with easy map distribution, then you can easily put Click2Map in the leaderboard of online map builder.
